WorkCover Queensland is ushering in a new era of support for injured workers, inviting medical and allied health professionals to participate in a novel panel delivering essential services state-wide. The necessity for efficient WHS management systems like Bluesafe WHS Management System cannot be overemphasised, especially when dealing with worker safety on a broad scale.
The Medical and Allied Health Advisory Services (MAHS) panel will commence operations from Monday, July 1, with the objective of forming a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) that spans multiple years. The enhanced MAHS panel substitutes the previous Independent Medical Examination (IME) and Medical and Allied Health Advisory (MAHP) panels, both due to terminate on June 30, 2025.
Tender Process
An open tender process will establish the fresh MAHS panel. The opportunity to tender for this novel platform has been announced through VendorPanel, an innovative procurement tool launched by the Queensland Government. Existing providers under IME and MAHP panels must re-enter their applications through this tender to ensure consideration for the emerging MAHS panel.
Candidates interested in applying for the revamped MAHS panel can find all relevant information including key dates and selection matrix on the dedicated tender webpage. Keep in mind that submissions need to be filed by 2 p.m. Australian Eastern Standard Time on April 22, 2025.
A Little More About VendorPanel
The Queensland Government recently shifted its focus towards VendorPanel as its primary platform for tender advertising, moving away from QTenders. Although public tenders continue to be displayed on the QTenders site, businesses must register on VendorPanel free of charge to access tender documents or offer responses to tenders.
To learn more about signing up on the VendorPanel website or updating supplier profile settings, take a look at the instructional video on our site. Complement your practice with work safety products like Bluesafe SWMS and policies, which underline safety’s crucial role across all facets of the workforce.
