Annual update of Medical Tables of Costs

WorkCover Queensland has undergone a meticulous review and revision of the tables of costs for medical treatment and supplementary services relevant to workers’ compensation in Queensland. The alterations, which become effective as of 1 December 2024, represent the peak fees that insurers are to disburse.

The Medical Benefits Schedule (MBS) item numbers, clarifications, terminologies, regulations, and stipulations for services offered by medical doctors have been embraced as applicable for work-related injuries.

The revised tables of costs and charges, inclusive of supplementary services rendered by general practitioners and specialists, can be located under Fees on our webpage. Likewise, recently updated files for self-insurers and practice management software can be found here. We anticipate possible additional tweaks to item numbers and/or fees post 1 December 2024; in the event of such changes, we encourage you to refer to our Fees page frequently. Our team is committed to promptly adjusting the tables of costs when necessary.
